The structural reinforcement project for existing buildings of Shanghai Maritime University is a typical engineering case of our company in the field of educational buildings. Aiming at the problems of floor slab cracking and insufficient beam bearing capacity of old buildings in the campus, the project adopts a scheme combining carbon fiber cloth reinforcement technology and steel-bonding reinforcement process to efficiently improve the seismic and bearing performance of the structure.
During the construction, our technical team strictly followed the Code for Design of Reinforcement of Concrete Structures (GB 50367-2013), grinding, leveling and interfacing the base concrete to ensure the full bonding between carbon fiber cloth and the base material. For large-area floor slab cracks, 300g/m² high-strength carbon fiber cloth was used for multi-layer pasting to effectively inhibit crack propagation; for parts with insufficient beam bearing capacity, steel plates were pasted with steel-bonding adhesive to achieve local reinforcement and overall stress optimization.
